About Me

[Updated August 2019]

Hi, I'm Tuttle.

I'm autistic. I'm disabled. I'm multiply neurodivergent. I'm me and I'm happy to be me.

I'm nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them. I don't know what older posts say. I won't go change them, because those posts were written with me trying to figure out who I am. There's a lot in my older posts that are trying to figure out who I am, because I knew parts of it, and not how to put it all together. I leave it as a record, to not deny things I know I disagree with now, because learning is a process, even when it is learning about yourself.

Sometimes I write about teaching. Sometimes I write about how children matter. Children are people. Autistic children are people. My goals are very focused on trying to prevent abuse in disabled children, but I mostly find myself just going and being there for those kids when nobody else is there.

My migraines are all encompassing in my life. My brain is my brain. I do things as I do them, not as others expect.

I like turtles. And kayaking. And most animals really.

I'm just me.
